Dr. Terrence Oakes (President) is an inventor of our AccuGyd and Saf-T-Drape devices and is the PI for the NIH SBIR projects to further develop these inventions. His research interests are in medical imaging. He was the CEO for a prior company with a successful exit.
Dr. Walter Block (Vice President) is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at UW-Madison. Dr. Block has significant experience in MRI physics, and he also has previous business experience in the private sector with MRI scanner manufacturer GE Healthcare.
Dr. Andy Alexander (CSO) is a Professor of Medical Physics and Psychiatry at UW-Madison. Dr. Alexander has extensive experience in technologies for brain imaging with MRI.
Dr. Azam Ahmed (CMO) is a neurosurgeon and an inventor of AccuGyd and Saf-T-Drape. His experience and hands-on involvement have proven invaluable for our inventions in image-guided surgery. Dr. Ahmed has excellent relationships with leading neurosurgeons across the country, a key aspect for identifying sites for early testing and initial product demonstrations.
Dr. Thomas Lilieholm recently earned his PhD in Medical Physics from UW-Madison, where he helped initiate the School of Medicine and Public Health’s Interventional MRI team. He was awarded 2024’s Entrepreneurial Fellowship in Medical Physics and joined ImgGyd to pursue his goals in entrepreneurship.
